Woof, woof …

If you’ve checked out our cute cats, you may be forgiven for thinking that here at Kawaii Animals there is a real cat dynasty – but there’s no prejudice here! We love our dogs just as much, and our very own big, black and daft Labrador mascot, Scooby, is very sweet. He loves to go for long walks running around looking for muddy puddles to jump into.   There’s nothing he prefers more than dinnertime though. Labradors love their food!

Did you know?

  • A dog’s vision isn’t black and white… Although they can’t distinguish between red and green, they see the world on a blue and yellow scale. They can also see far better at night time than humans!
  • Dogs can be as intelligent as a 2-year-old child. The cleverest of breeds being a border collie, who can understand up to 200 words! Other bright breeds are golden retrievers, Dobermans, poodles and German shepherds.
  • The wetness of a dog’s nose is essential for determining what direction a smell is coming from. And, a dog’s sense of smell is 10,000 – 100,000 more acute than a human’s.
  • The only place a dog has sweat glands is on the pads of its paws. Boy oh boy, they must be hot dogs indeed!
  • Dogs have about 1,700 taste buds. Humans have approximately 9,000 and cats have around 473.
  • Puppies have 28 teeth and normal adult dogs have 42.
  • And our favourite fact … Dogs have love hormones just like we do, and they fall in love with both dogs and humans.

Thank you for the mention, I’m proud to be the Kawaii Animals Main Dog! I even think I could get to be friends with Lily and Bruno, after all as everyone knows dogs are superior to cats, so I’m sure I could rise above the bickering… Oh and actually I may be a tiny bit scared of them…
